Ash & Alter is the tattoo practice of Megyn Olivia, an artist of seven years, whose work blends emotional depth, nature-inspired imagery, and a deep respect for personal transformation.

 

With Indigenous roots and a lifelong connection to the natural world, Megyn approaches tattooing as both an art and a ritual: a way to reclaim the body, mark new beginnings, and carry meaning in skin.

Specializing in blackwork floral, fauna, and coverups, her style is bold yet sensitive, grounded in both technical skill and intuitive design. Each piece is a collaboration, a story, a shift.

The name Ash & Alter reflects this process:
Ash: the remains of what’s been burned or left behind.
Alter: the intentional change that follows.
